1930s Sign Boston Wheeler 8 x 8 Green Porcelain Industrial Gas Station Vintage Light This Boston Wheeler is in nice shape for the age but does have the normal corner chips and scratches as shown. The original embossed Bost Wheeler fitter has been media-blasted and refinished with high-temperature paint, better than new. Also better than new is the ground wire added for safety. This light is actually 8 1/2 x 8 1/2 inches. From the wall to the center of the light is 17″. The shade comes off the fixture simply by loosening one screw and turning the shade a quarter turn. Clean shades shine brighter. Lights like this don’t come around very often. These side mount lights are a tough find. There is plenty of wire to accommodate a 36″ pipe if you’d like. The NOS Steel City raised wall-mount fits most round or octagonal electrical boxes. This will do well inside or out.I will include the wire-nuts, might save you a trip to the hardware store.
