This sign is not made of steel but is built to look like it is. Much lighter and easier to hang. She is built like a movie prop, with a wooden inner structure sheeted in aluminum and composite material. Then weathered by hand with real rust and various paint techniques to give that old vintage look. She is double sided and built to resemble the old neon sign cans of the era. Her tail was broken at some point, but as you can see in the pictures, it just adds to the character. Super RARE NOS Vintage Mobil Oil Station Letter sign reads. “SNACK SHOP These letters are 16″ and 12″ size AND 1” Thick.. Very rare to find these. Just a little dusty. 2 of the letter do have cracks on the corners but have happen years ago in shipping. I found pieces in original box and glued them in place. I have 2 pics that show repair. Once you put them up on wall you won’t see the cracks since on the corners. Over all the sign letters are just dusty from sitting. This never come up for sale. Mobil used this on the outside of the service station in the late 90’s and early 2000’s. Super cool to have in your collection of gas station items.
